One of two boas that are native to the United States, Rosy Boas inhabit areas of California, Arizona, Baja, and Mexico. Appearance varies based on locality. Thickness and color of the stripes, as well as background color differs by subspecies and region. Adult Rosys grow to 24" to 36" in general, and are a stout, heavy bodied snake. An excellent first snake, they are docile, low-maintenace pets that do well in captivity.
